History

DeGate originally launched as an app-specific Rollup powering a decentralized order-book DEX. Built with a “can’t-do-evil” design, it was reviewed by L2BEAT as a Stage 2 Rollup, the highest level in terms of trust minimization and maturity.

DeGate has evolved from a Layer 2 into a self-custody wallet for serving a broader market. As a multi-chain wallet, DeGate has no fixed limitation on supported tokens or networks, and can continuously integrate new chains.
