DECO is a privacy-preserving oracle protocol developed by students and faculty at IC3. It allows users to prove facts about their web sessions to oracles while maintaining privacy. It enables applications such as decentralized identity, privacy-preserving smart contracts in decentralized finance, and private medical research. DECO is compatible with modern TLS versions and does not require trusted hardware or server-side modifications. The protocol plans to collaborate with Chainlink for an initial Proof of Concept and release its source code in the future.
