D3 is a company that focuses on tokenizing existing and future internet domains as real-world assets, aiming to unlock their liquidity and utility. They are building an interoperable network to facilitate the creation of DomainFi applications, leveraging the Domain Name System (DNS) infrastructure.
D3 is a DomainFi infrastructure company introduced in 2023 that bridges Web2 domains with Web3 ecosystems. In December 2023, the team partnered with Shiba Inu and Viction blockchain ecosystems to apply for and secure .shib and .vic TLDs during ICANN’s upcoming application window. At the same time, the team introduced Name Tokens - a multichain cross platform digital identity for web3.
In 2024, D3 began onboarding marketplace partners (registrars, creators, domainers) and announced product integrations for creators and web3 users. The goal: transform domains from static web “addresses” to liquid, financialized assets akin to real estate or blue-chip NFTs.
As of early 2025 it has raised $30M+ across multiple rounds including a $25M Series A led by Paradigm, with a forthcoming token TGE expected in Q4 2025.
In April 2025, EnCirca integrated Doma protocol into its platform, aiming to bridge traditional DNS with Web3 functionalities through DomainFi.
By May 2025, D3’s airdrop campaign was in full swing, offering early users D3 tokens for completing quests, minting domains, and participating in education/outreach. The airdrop included tasks on Galxe, referrals, and continued on-platform activity, with all details managed via official D3 channels.
In June 2025, Doma Protocol announced a $1 million USDC developer fund to promote innovation in DomainFi, a new sector where domains become liquid, tradable assets on Web3.
In September 2025, EnCirca announced the launch of MyPublicWallet on Doma Protocol, marking a significant step in integrating Web3 functionalities with traditional DNS infrastructure.
