Carbonplace is a global carbon credit transaction network that facilitates the secure and transparent transfer of certified carbon credits. It was formed by a group of banks in 2020 to strengthen the voluntary carbon market through collaboration between the financial sector and other market participants. The platform aims to bring trust, transparency, and access to the voluntary carbon market. The participating banks include CIBC, Itaú Unibanco, National Australia Bank (NAB), NatWest Group, UBS, Standard Chartered, BNP Paribas, SMBC, and BBVA.
