About

Camp Network is a Layer-1 blockchain designed for onchain registration, management, and monetization of intellectual property. It allows users to tokenize and register IP for AI agent training and automated licensing, supporting gasless registration and royalty distribution. The platform features isolated execution environments for agent workflows, enables developers to deploy dedicated app chains, and provides transparent tracking of IP usage, licensing, and attribution.

History

Camp Network, a Layer-1 blockchain designed as an "Autonomous IP Layer" for user-owned intellectual property (IP) in the AI era, was founded in 2023 by Nirav Murthy and James Chi. It focuses on provenance-backed IP registration, licensing, and monetization via the Proof of Provenance (PoP) protocol and mAItrix framework for AI agents.

In April 2025, Camp Network made its public debut with the simultaneous announcement of its mission and a substantial Series A funding round. The project secured $30M in funding co-led by prominent venture capital firms 1kx and Blockchain Capital, with additional participation from Lattice, Maven 11, and OKX.

In May 2025, the project launched its first public testnet - K2 - aimed to become the world's largest repository of user-owned IP, supporting various forms of content including art, music, film, data, and videos.

In June 2025, Rarible launched Camp Network integration on its experimental NFT platform, RaribleFUN. This partnership introduced key architectural concepts including modular app chains (BaseCAMP and SideCAMPs) and support for AI-native agents.

A significant technical milestone came on September 2025, with the integration of LayerZero for omnichain interoperability. Furthermore, the team also announced the November expansions with Moriusa (Japanese IP) and KORUS_AI (music platform) which focus on cross-border AI-IP licensing.

In October, the team announced a strategic collab with STPR's Japanese entertainment IP via REMASTER, streamlining global licensing for AI agents.

In November, Camp Network launched Summit Series S2, encouraging builders, creators, and gamers to explore AI × IP collaboration through its Pulse leaderboard. At the same time, the team also sponsored the WAIB Summit Hackathon in Belgium, and announced an integration with Pyth Network for real-time price feeds. This integration provided access to high-quality financial data across over 120 exchanges and 100 blockchains, enabling developers to build applications that respond dynamically to live market data, including forecasting models and AI agents.
