Apparatus (formerly Topl) is a Bitcoin Layer 2 protocol designed to enable enhanced functionality and higher throughput on the Bitcoin network. It supports compatibility with RGB smart contracts and has bridging capabilities for Taproot assets. Additionally, Apparatus allows for the minting and movement of Ordinals between Bitcoin and adjacent Layer 2 systems, offering new capabilities in terms of scalability and protocol compliance within the Bitcoin ecosystem.
