EigenCloud, formerly known as EigenLayer, is a developer platform for building verifiable applications and autonomous AI agents. The project has expanded beyond its original focus on Ethereum restaking and Actively Validated Services (AVSs) to position itself as the “verifiable cloud for the agentic era,” providing infrastructure that allows developers and users to verify how an agent was executed, which code and models it used, and whether its outputs were altered.

EigenCloud combines several products into a unified platform: AgentKit for deploying autonomous agents with persistent identities, encrypted state, and onchain payment capabilities; EigenCompute for running applications inside confidential execution environments that produce cryptographic attestations; EigenAI for reproducible and verifiable AI inference; and EigenDA for high-throughput data availability. Underlying these services is EigenLayer, which uses restaked ETH, EIGEN, and other assets to provide cryptoeconomic guarantees, allowing operators to earn rewards for correctly executing services and face slashing when they violate enforceable commitments.
