Dogwifhat (WIF) is a cryptocurrency memecoin operating on the Solana blockchain.
The image of a Shiba Inu wearing a beanie (hat) was first propagated by a handful of professional video game players, most of which played Rocket League or Fortnite, changing their “X” account profile pictures to the “dogwifhat” in December 2019. The image was adopted by a cryptocurrency, WIF, which was deployed on Solana in November 2023 by an anonymous project team. While the token was initially only available on decentralized exchanges (DEXs), several centralized exchanges have listed the token since its inception, e.g., Huobi Global, Gate.io, LBank, and MEXC Global.
