Bitcoin New is a stand-alone blockchain that originated as a Bitcoin fork.
Bitcoin New forked from Bitcoin at the end of 2017 and credited BTC holders with an equivalent amount of Bitcoin New (BTN). But the project later transitioned to a separate, stand-along blockchain that migrated to a Proof-of-Stake consensus model and focused on implementing Artificial Intelligence on a blockchain. The project advertises itself as a “next-generation decentralized application for commercial applications.” Bitcoin New plans to serve as an efficient, highly customizable decentralized application operating system by developing a Turing-complete virtual machine (BVM).
