Syscoin launches a trust-minimized bridge with Ethereum

Syscoin announced its cross-network bridge to Ethereum successfully launched on mainnet earlier today. This bridge aims to create a path for cross-chain ERC-20 token transfers without the need for a third token or intermediary.
Why it matters:
Interoperability should remain a relevant theme throughout 2020 within crypto. High-profile projects Polkadot and Cosmos expect to launch their own cross-chain communication solutions at some point this year, which could draw user traffic away from existing networks. On the flip side, Keep Network and Summa continue to progress with their trust-minimized ETH-BTC bridge (and the recently proposed ETH-ZEC bridge), which expands the list of opportunities for users of both Bitcoin and Ethereum.
The Syscoin Ethereum Bridge is a relatively unique piece of infrastructure. Check out the AMA Messari hosted with Syscoin to learn more about the inner workings on the bridge and how it differs from other interoperability efforts.
