Winklevoss Capital, Coinbase back $1.8 million round for Bitski crypto wallet
Bitski announced they raised a seed round to build out a crypto wallet with a simple user experience by removing the responsibility of key management. The wallet is currently being used by SportX, an ethereum powered betting site and YouNow, a live streaming platform.
Why it matters:
- As the space matures adoption will rely heavily on easy to use applications such as wallets that allow them to store cryptoassets and interact with networks.
- Key management is an important, but daunting part of managing crypto assets. Bitski is betting that there is an audience of users that would prefer the simplicity of third-party key management over the security of self-custody.
