🏛Washington State Senators puts forward blockchain and DLT bill

Senators Brown, Rivers, Becker, and Short of Washington state have put forward Senate Bill 5638 to encourage the use of blockchain and distributed ledger technology (DLT) within the state. The bill defines various cryptographic terms for governmental policy, particularly blockchain and DLT, and amends the Washington Electronic Authentication Act in light of these definitions. Washington is home to crypto-related businesses NEM, StormX, RChain, Stably and joins Wyoming, Arizona, Ohio, and Vermont with its crypto related legislation.
