⛏️ Vitalik's Ethereum 2.0 proposal would create 100,000 ether annual staking reward

Vitalik Buterin's latest Ethereum ($ETH) 2.0 staking reward update would see on an annual 100,000 Ether, equivalent to $160 million, doled out after the system migrates from proof-of-work to proof-of-stake. The current Ethereum mining business is valued at roughly $700 million. The latest proposal, called on by various Ethereum interests since January saw the targeted rate for staking wealth on ETH 2.0 bump to 3.3% from 2.2%. Buterin's proposal has received high praise to date but has yet to be thoroughly vetted minus a few Ethereum leads like Justin Drake.
