🚫 US senators seek stronger sanctions on Venezuela's 'Petro' cryptocurrency
A group of senators backed a humanitarian aid bill for Venezuela that also seeks to sanction the state-backed cryptocurrency, the petro. The Venezuela Humanitarian Relief, Reconstruction and Rule of Law Act of 2018 bars U.S. residents from providing financing or software to assist in launching the petro.
