πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ US lawmakers push for a definition for 'blockchain' in new congressional bill

A bill proposing to define blockchain was recently introduced to the U.S. House of Representatives. Representatives Doris Matsui and Brett Guthrie – both members of the Energy and Commerce Subcommittees on Communications and Technology and Digital Commerce and Consumer Protection – submitted the legislation Monday. If passed and signed into law, bill H.R. 6913, dubbed the Blockchain Promotion Act of 2018, would create a working group to study the technology and create a common definition for the purposes of government.
