US Copyright Office says it does not ‘recognize’ Craig Wright as Satoshi

A press release by the U.S. Copyright Office clarified their issuance of copyright of the Bitcoin ($BTC) white paper and code to Craig Wright, stating that they make no investigations into the legitimacy of claims. “In a case in which a work is registered under a pseudonym," the release states, "the Copyright Office does not investigate whether there is a provable connection between the claimant and the pseudonymous author.” As CoinDesk writes, copyright only costs $55 and an internet connection with the Office only being a repository for claims.
