🏁 Upgraded Hyperledger Fabric sees 7-fold increase in transaction speed

Collaborative blockchain and payment system Hyperledger Fabric can now process up to 20,000 transactions per second (TPS), up from 3,000. The almost seven-fold increase was announced by Canada's University of Waterloo with redesigns of Hyperledger's ordering service, transaction service, and data management layer. Researchers, who claim the upgrade makes Hyperledger more suitable for e-commerce, are looking at pushing TPS past 50,000.
