📱 U.S. investor files $224 million lawsuit against AT&T after crypto theft
Michael Terpin, Co-Founder of BitAngels and advisor to Alphabit Fund, has filed a lawsuit against AT&T after hackers stole $24 million worth of crypto from his accounts. Terpin alleges that hackers were able to access his accounts after convincing AT&T to transfer service to a new device in what is known as SIM swapping. In addition to the $24 million stolen Terpin is asking for $200 million in punitive damages.
