Bitcoin ($BTC), digital currencies, and their impact on central banking are going to be discussed in the halls of Congress tomorrow. The House Financial Services Subcommittee on Monetary Policy and Trade will hold a hearing on the topic, scheduled for Wednesday, July 18th 2018 at 2:00PM Eastern. The discussion is expected to cover the potential for central banks to get involved with the asset class, the future of physical cash, and whether the U.S. government should consider cryptocurrencies legal tender.
