TokenSoft, a security token issuance platform is launching self-managed investment accounts for its 100,000 users which include a multi-signature wallet with a brokerage-style user experience. The wallet will allow automated dividend distributions and reinvestment opportunities as well as integrated delivery of financials and disclosures. The wallet will support regulatory compliant security token standards such as ERC-1404 and Tezos' FA1.2.
Why it matters
- In order for security tokens to make an impact on traditional finance, the user experience needs to be familiar for investors. The process of interacting with security tokens should be no different than how one deals with their current brokerage. However, existing means of interacting with cryptoassets are far from being user-friendly which acts as a major hurdle for adoption. By creating an interface that mimics what investors have come to expect, TokenSoft hopes to abstracts away the difficulties of a blockchain making users feel more comfortable buying and selling security tokens.
- Overfuture recently received the green light to conduct an initial public offering (IPO) with tokenized shares. If more companies follow their lead, the need for services such as this will increase as investors are likely not going to want to manage their equity the same way crypto-native assets are held.
