Three Arrows Capital taps the secondary markets to invest in BlockFi
BlockFi announced that it has brought on Singapore based hedge fund, Three Arrows Capital, as its most recent investor. The fund has been an institutional lending client of BlockFi and jumped on the opportunity to invest when existing investor Able Partners was looking to sell their shares in order to recycle capital and support more early-stage founders.
Why it matters
- BlockFi raised $30 million Series B in February only a few months after their $18 million Series A. The addition of another reputable crypto investor provides an additional vote of confidence in the firm's ability to execute in the rapidly growing lending market.
- BlockFi already boasts an impressive list of investors including the lead, Peter Thiel's Valar Ventures. The addition of Three Arrows Capital could help BlockFi as they look to expand into Asian markets.
