📲 This scaling tech could let you sync Bitcoin straight from your phone

Bitcoin ($BTC) scaling project "utrexxo" has a functioning proof-of-concept code which could turn a mobile phone into a node. Utrexxo breaks Bitcoin transactions into UTXO sets which is the unspent transaction data on the network. By boiling down the network into UTXO sets, essentially cryptographic proofs, a hardware device unable to hold the 200 plus gigabytes of the Bitcoin state can now participate as a full node. CoinDesk noted that the functioning proof-of-concept code is only a stepping stone for the project.
