🇹🇭 Thai finance ministry awards licenses to four crypto firms, rejects two
As part of licensing rules announced last July Thailand’s Ministry of Finance has granted licenses to four crypto firms while rejecting two others. An announcement from the country's Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)named Cash2coin and Southeast Asia Digital Exchange (SEADEX) as the firms that failed to win a license due to issues with security, custody, and know-your-customer (KYC) processes. As a result the two firms will need to cease business operations and return funds to customers by Jan. 14, though they can reapply for a license in the future.
