Tether mistakenly minted 5 billion USDT and immediately burned them
Stablecoin Tether ($USDT) accidentally minted and subsequently burned $5 billion USDT according to Whale Alert. CTO Paolo Ardoino claims a decimal mistake was made during a transfer with crypto exchange Poloniex and Tron ($TRX). The $5 billion was burnt almost immediately.
