😠 Tax nightmare: 10,000 Bitcoin trades net Swedish man nearly $1 million in taxes

Swedish crypto trader Linus Dunker is looking at an almost $1 million bill after being audited by the Swedish Tax Authority (STA). According to Dunker, 2014 filing laws were not made clear until 2016, but by 2018 he was being audited for 'improper' 2014 filings which did not properly deduct his cash purchases of Bitcoin ($BTC). Dunker claims he is being taxed 300% of total earnings and that the STA is treating his trades as business and not personal activities.
