State Farm, USAA to pay each other insurance claims on blockchain by 2020

Insurance giants USAA and State Farm have announced their use of J.P Morgan's Quorum blockchain network for the settling of insurance claims by the end of 2019, according to CoinDesk. The firms will use Quorum for subrogation between different insurance companies, the final phase of settling claims. Quorum was chosen over R3's Corda due to Quorum's security features, regardless of the pair's membership in the RiskBlock Alliance which backs Corda.
