According to a new report titled 2018 White Paper on the New Middle Class, less than 10% of China's "new middle class" is investing in cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin ($BTC). The survey gathered responses from 100,000 individuals and included one million data points from other sources to define the new middle class and their preferences. Real estate and fixed-term bank investments were the most popular among the surveyed individuals reflecting a preference for low-risk investments. Only 9.2 percent of individuals surveyed were willing to accept an investment loss higher than 15 percent which would make them unlikely investors in volatile cryptoassets.
