⚖️ Silk Road founder seeks clemency
Ross Ulbricht, aka Dread Pirate Roberts, is serving a double life sentence for founding and running the Silk Road, an online marketplace that accepted Bitcoin ($BTC). Industry leaders including Erik Voorhees, Charlie Lee, Brian Hoffman, and many others are calling for leniency through a petition. Today, the U.S. Attorney for Maryland dropped additional murder for hire charges against Ulbricht, following the U.S. Supreme Court's refusal to hear his appeal in June.
