🌎 Senior State Department official says government should "stay out of the way" of blockchain

In a speech delivered to the 4th Annual DC Blockchain Summit, Manisha Singh, Acting Under Secretary of State for Economic Growth, Energy, and the Environment, encouraged governments around the world to adopt "light-touch" and "compatible" regulations on blockchains and digital assets. As blockchains continue to become "a global phenomenon", Singh added that, as regulators, "sometimes the best thing we can do to help is stay out of the way."
