💬 SEC Crypto Mom: regulators miss the point of cryptocurrency

In an interview with journalist Laura Shin, U.S. SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce says that the SEC and other regulators are missing the point on cryptocurrency, hurting the market in the process. Peirce, the only commissioner to famously approve of the Winkelvoss twins Bitcoin ($BTC) ETF, said that the SEC in particular has not been good at adapting to innovation, something she is actively addressing. Peirce continues to affirm her pro-market stance, saying the fate of crypto ETF's should be addressed by the market and not a regulator's desks.
