💰 SBI invests nine million in institutional-grade crypto derivatives platform
Japanese financial services giant SBI Holdings invested $9 million in US digital marketplace architect Clear Markets to fund its creation of a crypto derivatives trading platform for institutional investors. Nikkei Asian Review reported that SBI Crypto Investment has acquired a 12% stake in Clear Markets. The derivatives trading platform - which may include futures, options, and swaps - allows institutions to hedge other positions that they may have in the cryptocurrency market, reducing risk and enabling them to lock in profits or mitigate losses
