🇻🇪Report: Venezuela is forcibly converting pension balances to the Petro
According to a report from local publication Caracas Chronicles the Venezualian government is converting all pension payments to the Petro. Notably, funds are being sent to pensioners as Bolivars and being automatically converted to Petros, though users are able to convert them back to Bolivars if desired. Venezuela’s president, Nicolas Maduro first announced that pensions would be paid in Petros in August 2018.
