Radix Joins the Messari Registry

We’re excited to announce that Radix has joined the Messari Registry. As a participating project, the Radix Foundation has committed to transparency by providing regular project updates.

Radix is a public, decentralized ledger built to support decentralized finance (DeFi). The project aims to be an alternative base layer to blockchains like Ethereum for DeFi applications. Radix uses a new consensus algorithm called Cerberus to help secure the network while giving it a higher level of performance (i.e., scalability). Radix also features its own smart contract execution environment dubbed the Radix Engine, which allows developers to map business assets to pre-built Radix components. Radix has a native token, XRD, that holders can use to participate in the network's Proof-of-Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism and earn inflation rewards.

Last week Radix published an updated Radix Economics White Paper. The paper introduced a new priced based unlocking mechanism for both the upcoming release of the E-RADIX ERC20 token, as well as the RADIX TOKEN (scheduled to be released in Q2 of 2021 on the Radix ledger). The sale of the E-RADIX token is intended to promote the distribution of Stake and achieve a high degree of decentralization prior to the release of the RADIX LEDGER.

The Radix Economics whitepaper also provides additional information about token allocations, a small change to the emission rate of the RADIX TOKEN and some more details about the total distribution of E-RADIX and RADIX TOKENS.
