Proof-of-Developer

Written by Max Hinchman

Introduction

Proof of Developer is a verification system used to verify the developing team behind the token and also the code used in the software. As cryptocurrencies have become more prevalent, so have the malicious projects whose sole intent is to steal money from unsuspecting investors. The concept of Proof of Developer was developed as a way to vet the team and code behind a new lesser known crypto.

While there are a few sites providing certification services, CryptoCertify offers the most comprehensive services. Their verification process includes developer id verification, a complete code review, a complete blockchain analysis, and an electronic code certification to ensure that the code is not changed from the time of inspection to the release to users. CryptoCertify then issues a rating for each criteria listed above.

While there is a cost to these services, a legitimate due diligence process will only provide benefits to the crypto community. There is always a need to eliminate people with malicious or even to find the unintentionally faulty code that could potentially cause issues in the future.
