💰 PayPal makes its first blockchain investment in a startup for digital identities

In an apparent first, PayPal has invested in Cambridge Blockchain, a startup that focuses on leveraging blockchains to give users more control over their digital identities. PayPal has not disclosed the size of their investment, but recent SEC filings show that Cambridge Blockchain raised $3.5 million since May 2018. PayPal also launched a blockchain-based "innovation rewards system" for employees back in December 2018.
