PayPal CFO says firm not interested in crypto sector right now
In an interview with Yahoo Finance, PayPal CFO John Rainey says the payment service has teams working on cryptocurrency, Bitcoin ($BTC), and blockchain, but remains skeptical of the sector to date saying ". . . we want to take part in that, in whatever form that takes in the future — I just think it’s a little early on right now [on Bitcoin].” PayPal is focusing on traditional payment services, recently closing a deal with Instagram.
