Overstock’s tZERO wins patent to settle tokenized securities on a public blockchain
tZERO, a security token trading platform subsidiary of Overstock, has received a patent for technology that enables settlement of tokenized securities on a public blockchain. In a Tuesday announcement, tZERO said the technology, Time Ordered Merkle Epoch (TOME), can record trade and on-chain settlement data into public blockchains.
