🗽New York's final BitLicense answer

Fortune has discovered based on a Freedom of Information Law (or FOIL) request to the New York State Department of Financial Services (NYDFS) that a total of 36 BitLicense applications had been received by the agency since 2015. Of those, five were denied and ten had been granted by November of this year. The NYFDS has been approving applications at a more rapid rate after receiving criticism earlier this year. If it continues at an approval rate similar to the past six months the agency could be on track to approve 12 licenses over the next year.
