Maduro orders Venezuela's top bank to make the Petro available to the public

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has ordered one of the nation’s largest banks to allow customers to access to Petro, his controversial state-run cryptocurrency. The Venezuelan Ministry of Finance announced the news via Twitter at the tenth anniversary of the Bank of Venezuela (BoV), quoting Maduro as saying (informal translation via CoinDesk):

“I give the express order for transaction counters for The Petro to be opened in all Bank of Venezuela agencies.”
