On Monday, Charlie Lee announced that Litecoin would be focused on adding Confidential Transactions (CT):

As someone who’s been vocal about Litecoin’s pointlessness since it traded for pennies (where it belongs), I have mixed feelings about this development.
I agree with Charlie that fungibility is a key property of sound money, and bitcoin is clearly lacking in this regard today (as evidenced by the existence an entire sub-industry of blockchain forensics companies).
But is there really value to CT on Litecoin?
