Lightning network developers warn of bug that could cause loss of bitcoin

Developers for Bitcoin's Lightning Network have disclosed a bug that could cause users to lose bitcoin ($BTC) if their software is not updated. The issue was originally made public on Aug. 30, and confirmed on Tuesday by Lightning Labs CTO Olaoluwa Osuntokun. Currently anyone running a lightning node should update their software and full details, including how to exploit the bug, have been promised within a month.
