🏛️ Lawmakers to meet with crypto teams to discuss regulation
Rep. Warren Davidson will host nearly 50 representatives from U.S. financial giants and cryptocurrency startups at a roundtable in Washington D.C. on Tuesday. Representatives will discuss a range of topics including consumer fraud protection, private funding disclosures, and token issuance laws. Davidson plans to introduce new crypto regulation this fall which he says can "preempt a heavy-handed regulatory approach that could stall innovation and kill the U.S. ICO market." Representatives from Fidelity, State Street, Union Square Ventures, Andreessen Horowitz, Nasdaq, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce are among those confirmed to attend.
