On Dec. 25, University of Toronto professor and clinical psychologist Jordan B. Peterson announced his move off Patreon, the content creation platform, in conjunction with intellectual thought leaders Dave Rubin and Sam Harris. Peterson, who accepts Bitcoin ($BTC) donations on his website, is creating a rival censorship resistance platform to Patreon. Bitcoin enthusiasts were quick to note the missed chance to promote Bitcoin as a censorship resistant payment alternative.
