🇯🇵 Japan to tighten oversight of crypto exchanges

According to a story from the Japan Times, the Financial Services Agency (FSA) will require a new registration process for cryptoasset exchanges in the country. In addition to an expanded application, now 400 items long, the regulator will now require access to an exchanges’ board meetings records, and will conduct reviews of the of the company’s shareholders in order to “check for links to antisocial groups.”
