IOTA removes its old security coordinator mechanism software

IOTA ($IOT) has scrapped its old security coordinator for a claimed decentralized protocol security mechanism, Coordicide, to set transaction finality and prevent double spends, according to Decrypt. IOTA claims the mechanism solves the high transaction fee, scaling, and centralization problem all blockchain-based protocols face. IOTA says it will release a white paper on Coordicide shortly.
