Huobi plans backdoor IPO attempt in Hong Kong, document suggests

A new filing with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEX) shows that crypto exchange Huobi may be moving closer to going public through a reverse IPO. The document shows that Pantronics Holdings Limited, a company that was acquired by Huobi last August, will change its name to Huobi Technology Holdings Limited. If Huobi plans to complete a reverse IPO it could run into issues from new regulations that make it more difficult for companies to acquire publicly traded firms operating in different industries.
