📱 HTC plans to launch 2nd generation blockchain smartphone by the end of 2019
HTC announced the launch of another blockchain-based phone with new product features by the end of 2019, one year after launching the HTC Exodus. According to Digitimes, the success of Exodus and HTC's ambition to expand in the blockchain ecosystem motivated the second phone generation. This version will reportedly support more blockchain applications such as browsers, messaging systems, and social media in addition to the Exodus' features like cryptocurrency management and e-wallet services. Most notably, the next phone's applications will be based on peer-to-peer connections over traditional third-party routing services.
