๐Ÿ˜ Grin outlines plan to prevent ASIC mining

The developers behind crypto project Grin recently released a technical roadmap outlining a plan to prevent ASIC mining on the network. In the plan Grin would change itโ€™s prrof-of-work algorithm every six months through a series of hard forks. This would prevent hardware manufacturers from producing ASIC devices from day one and centralizing mining. While forks can be detrimental to network growth the developers believe that the strategy makes sense as it aligns with already planned upgrades during the blockchainโ€™s first few years.
