🏛 G20: Cryptocurrencies are okay, blockchains are great, and money laundering is still a problem

A new report published on July 21, 2018 by the G20 maintains that the technologies underlying cryptoassets can deliver significant benefits to the financial system and the broader economy. However, crypto also leads to issues regarding "consumer and investor protection, market integrity, tax evasion, money laundering, and terrorist financing". The consortium will release future clarification in Oct. 2018 regarding specific guidelines to combat these issues.
