France says it will block Facebook Libra in Europe
French Economy and Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire recently spoke out against Faceook's planned Libra stablecoin citing concerns over the sovereignty of national currencies. According to The Independent, Le Marie stated:
“I want to be absolutely clear: In these conditions, we cannot authorize the development of Libra on European soil.”
